Fat Tuesday

Yesterday it was fat Tuesday here in Sweden, that is the day when we Swedes eat semla it's a bun with whipping cream and marzipan. Yesterday was also the last day for my cousin here in Sweden, going to miss her so much but I know that we are going to se each other in Paris soon :)

Me , Sarah my cousin and Sara where at my place yesterday and had a fika and eat selma, it was nice, after a long day of internship at the hospital.

Dinner for 2

This weekend Dominique and I went to dinner together. It was nice to have a date LOL. We went to Blowfish Sushi in Santana Row. Everything was delicious. It was nice to have a night out with her. This was our appetizer...

We also ordered Sushi rolls that were to die for. The sushi is something I really missed while I was away in Europe. I feel like the Sushi here has a lot more flavor-- the sauces and different toppings really set it off. The sushi to me in Sweden was a lot more plain, still good but I did miss it here in California.

This weekend Dominique and were talking a lot about relationships. It is so hard to find someone who can fulfill every part of a man we are looking for. We think we are either just way too picky or maybe we just rather guard our hearts-- who knows. While we were driving we saw these two old ladies walking together. We said maybe one day that'll be us and I'll look over at Dom and ask her, "Do you think we are still too picky?" We ended our night with some drinks,  a cosmo for her and the house special for me.

Night out

Yesterday we whent out to Sandic Malmen ( Medborgarplatsen) for drinks. Sarahs friend was here in Stocholm too with his American gril friend Olivia, they are both studying here, and are going to be staying for 6 months.

We tried to talk with Alaura in Tango, but the music was so loud, lol. But it was fun to see your happy face :)

Now me and my cousin are going out to the Royal tennis hall to see my mom play, and later this evening we are going to the movies with my brother.

Phone Calls

I always try and have my phone on me. Really the only calls I get are the ones from my family, my closest girl friends and of course the TENGO calls from you Linda. I love getting those the most :) But sheesh the iphone is damn addicting LOL. However, as addicting as it is I do love it. Tweeting, facebooking, words with friends, and instagram they are enough to keep you busy 24/7.

Today though I got a very interesting phone call. One like never before. It was a guy I have recently seen more or less to just catch up since in reality its been about 7 year. It wasn't bad or good news just confusing news I guess you can say. I'll tell you more about it when we talk :)

Have tons of fun with your cousin. Glad she arrived safe and sound. P.S. I love Arlanda airport, even though I never ran into Alexander Skarsgard...

There's something magic about air ports..

There's something magic about Arlanda Ari port especially at Arrivels. My family has always been traveling alot and sometimes been gone for a long time. Me and my brother used to travel alot to Africa when we where younger my grandparents live there so we used to stay there for 3-4 months. And I remember how much I missed my mom and how nervous I used to be coming out from the arrival after being gone for so long and there she was my mom. Tears, happiness and butterflys all at the same time. Now I'm sitting at the air port waiting for my cousin Sarah her flight is delayed with 1 hour, so I'm sitting here with my latte watching all the people coming out from arrivals and how they are hugging there families, friends or boyfriends. I know that when I land in San Francisco I'm going to have that same feeling I had when I was little. There is something magic about air ports, people from all around the world come togheter at the same place and tears of happiness for seeing the ones you love again or sad tears for leaving a loved one behind. But I especially like arrivals, and I can't wait to walkout from arrivals in San Francisco air port and seeing my beautiful friend on the other side waiting for me.

Mamas and Tapas

Yesterday I had dinnner with my girl (nursemates). We had dinner at a Spanish restaurant called 'Mamas and Tapas' it is located  close to 'Brascos' our study cafe :)

The food was amazing, and the service was so good. The people who worked there are spanish so they where talking spanish all the time it almost feelt like I was in Barcelona again....
