I came to Sweden to study, right?

Since I have been here school has not been too tough. I think that is not a reflection on the school but because I have class with international students from all around the world. I am always at the advantage of english being my first language. While some other students have english as the second, third and sometimes even fourth or fifth languages. For this reason alone the classes are bit slower pace and not as difficult. Since I have been here I have learned a lot. While in class I learned about the history of Sweden and its sourronding countries. I learned about the society, politics and beliefs of Sweden or Swedes in general. Up until about now things have been pretty smooth. Until my last course, Media, Culture and Society 2. I have to finish up and submit a 20 page research paper within the next 4 days. I guess you can say it is getting me back on track considering 3 days after my return home I start my next semester at San Jose State University. My first day is from 10-9 pm a long day. Since being in Paris I did not work on the paper at all and now I’ll be sacrificing some of my last days in Europe getting this paper done. It is a bummer to have to spend 4 days doing this when I would rather be doing other things, but I need to remember I came to Sweden to study, right?

We were apart for 5 days and it felt like forever. What is it going to feel like when I return to Cali and she stays in Sweden???

'The City of Love'

Paris was by far my favorite city that I have traveled to since coming abroad. There is so much about Paris that forces you to fall in love. So much to see, do and the atmosphere is incredibly charming. The food is unreal– from the crepes to the macaroons everything was delicious. 


I had an amazing time enjoying Paris at all times of the day. I walked around the gardens while snacking on typical french things; My favorite was the Garden of Luxemburg with all the statues. By night Paris was incredible, all lit up with the beautiful lights.

I hope some day soon I can return to Paris and stay for a longer time. I fell in love with the city and I can honestly imagine myself living there one day, I can only hope right?

Sitting next to u doing absolutely nothing means everything to me...

Time passes, it's like an express train you can't stop. It's two weeks left until one of the people I hold close to the heart has to go home. And the heart acheing part is that home is on a  different continent, there are seas and oceans that separate us. Since day one, it has been us, we've laughed so we've cried, we've been sad and angry together. We have traveled, discovered, partyed, and just sat next to each other and not done anything, and it is that, just sitting next to each other and just being, knowing that the other one is so close to you, that is what matters most and that's what I'm going to miss the most.

 

 

Tiden går, det är som ett express tåg du inte kan stoppa. Det är två veckor kvar tills en av dem personerna jag håller nära hjärtat måste åka hem. Och det som skär i hjärtat är att hem är på en annan
Kontinent, det är hav och hav som separerar oss. Sen dag ett har det varit vi, vi har skrattat så vi har gråtit, vi har varit ledsna och arga tillsammans. Vi har rest, upptäckt, festat, och bara suttit bredvid varandra och inte gjort någonting, och det är just det att bara sitta brevid varandra och bara vara, veta att den andra finns så nära en det är det som betyder mest och det är det jag kommer att sakna.

I arrived in Paris last night. I am looking forward to spending the weekend in the 'City of Lights'.

Go Raiders

Today felt a lot like Christmas to me! I received 2 packages with gifts from back home. There was a problem with the post so everything was kept for about 5 days longer than usual. I got some very nice things, including a Raiders stocking. My favorite American Football team.

2011 , CHEERS!

2010 has been a real mountain and valley path. It was the year I was crazy, the year I lost someone I was close to, the year I got two new loves in my life, the year I learned that you have to fight for what you want, it's blood sweat and tears if you want to get somewhere in life.

But I did start the  New Years good, I started it with people I care about and keep close to my heart.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the year 2011, I can feel that it is going to be a good year.
